CHILI COOK OFF, BRING THE HEAT 2017 Toot Toot Chili

First, to all a very sincere thank you for all your help on the Chili Cook Off. I am getting nickled and dimed as to who won what at the CCO. As I had not consumed one drop of alcohol during the event, I am able to remember all the details. Also when I got up Sunday morning and updated the QM Ledger my books and the money were PERFECT. Results are:

Chili Winners:

1. Pup Tent 7

2. FRA 367 Fleet Reserve Association

3. VFW Post 9892

Miss Chili Pepper

1. Annalyn Jabon

2. Mairnie Lebontano

3. Ayah Martinez

P50,000 Raffle Winner: Mike Verville, SVC Department Pacific Areas, who promptly donated P5000 back to the post for our membership drive.

We also raised P10,600 in the auction, mostly because of a Serving Platter from the Cubi NAS, purchased by Mike Verville for $100 (P5,000)

It also appears that we will sell all the calendars donated by Roger Limle. An additional P4900 to the pot.

17 Teams paid entry to the event but, only 14 teams cooked.

John Kelly donated the items for the auction.

Tim Aukshun worked to get sponsor money from Footlights, Shooters, (soon to be Enzo's) and Ocean Deep Dive Shop. Minda amassed P5,000 from donors who wish to be anonymous. That is why we had no expense for the Miss Chili Pepper Contest. Tim also donated other items used in the contest, as well as a lot of his time in picking up then returning tables, chairs, tents, coolers, etc.. to San Miguel Poro.

affle tickets, sampling cups and spoons, and booth placards were also donated, as well as the sound system. So we had no expenses in that area.

We took in P1520 for Buddy Poppies that goes into the Relief Fund.

All in all our current Net Profit from our 26th Annual Chili Cook Off stands at P92,000. If anyone has a bill for anything to do with the CCO please advise me so that I can finalize my CCO Report before our 12 December meeting. I really need to finalize everything this week because, next week I will be heading to Cebu for the C of A. I return from that 11 December, so I won't have time to process anything between then and the meeting the following day. If you don't get reimbursed before that, I will simply consider it a donation.

A special thank you to everyone who either sold or purchased raffle tickets. Ten tickets at P500 a pop was not an easy task. Everyone stepped up and made this years raffle the best we have ever had. If you personally bought all the tickets you were given, there's a special place in VFW heaven for you.

We received donations in the amount of P5,000(Mike Verville) and P3,000 (Bob Zaher, Cliff Wolsey, Jimmy Collinns of Post 2485), during the Cook Off, to be used for our membership campaign, so if you combine that with our other proceeds we wound up with:

ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS

Thank you and God Bless You All
