The opening ceremony for a regular meeting was conducted in accordance with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ritual; the meeting opened at 1100 hours by Post Commander Spain. Opening prayers were given by Comrade Rodgers.

Commander Spain made the following temporary appointments.  Comrade Bridges will be the ODD and Comrade Rodgers will be the Chaplin for today’s meeting.

DRAPING OF THE CHARTER: The charter was draped in memory of Comrade Dave Ransome.


READING, REFERRING MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS: Robert Dombroski, Michael Hobbs and Ron Ellis. The 3 applicants had been approved by the membership committee and the vote was unanimous to accept these 3 new members.


    READING OF MINUTES: The Minutes from the 9 January 2024 meeting have been posted on the Post website and distributed via email.  A motion to accept the minutes was made by comrade Bridges, seconded by comrade Rodgers, no discussion, motion approved


    QUARTERMASTER’S REPORT: QM Aukshun informed us that all is good financially.   A motion to accept the QM report was made by comrade Aukshun, seconded by comrade Brozowski, no discussion, motion approved.

    READING OF BILLS: None

    OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENCE: Notification of changes to Agent Orange locations, details to be posted with minutes.

    A motion was made by Comrade Aukshun to accept all committee reports, seconded by

    Comrade Bridges, no discussion, motion approved


    REMEMBER OUR NATIONAL HOME: A prayer was said by comrade Rogers in remembrance of our National Home.

    NOMINATION for the 2024 – 25 Term

     

    Nominations for the next term will remain open until the April 2024 meeting at present the nominees are:

      NEW BUSINESS:

      • Comrade Brozowski proposed a Community Service Project to outfit a new barangay health center with the basic medical equipment required to operate. Comrade Brozowski will submit a detailed list of items and contact Jason Couch at National to determine if the project would qualify for a grant. Commander Spain recommended that we should initially fund up to P60,000 to get the project moving. Proposal was seconded by comrade Rodgers and was approved. Start thinking of themes for the 2024 CCO.


      GOOD of the ORDER

      • There we still raffle tickets available for the Post 11447 Beach Bash.
      • Comrade Webber informed all that the Army recruiter would be at the AC RAO 27 FEB 2024
